We are so happy and so proud of him. It is so great to see a local boy get drafted and set on his way to the big leagues. Kolten is from Hilo and is one of the best if not the best baseball player to come out of the big island in a long time. We wish Kolten much success and hope to see him play in the big leagues soon with fellow Hawaiians such as Kurt Suzuki, Shane Victorino and Kila Kaaihue. Congrats again Kolten, you have worked very hard and we are so happy for you.
Very Respectfully,

Elbert
Aloha Sports Cardshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00531410146951242431noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1769996856150225995.post-41028967106950520552011-07-04T22:26:00.000-07:002011-07-04T22:28:29.921-07:00Aloha, we are back!We have just decided to re create this Hawaiian Baseball site, with regular updates. They are Kurt Suzuki of the Oakland A's and Shane Victorino of the Philadelphia Phillies. The average baseball fan might not know how much baseball talent there is on the Hawaiian Islands, but Ill tell you, the Islands have a tremendous amount of talent with Kurt Suzuki and Shane Victorino leading the way. Suzuki is currently batting .241 with 12 home runs and 53 rbi while Victorino is currently batting .251 with 15 home runs and 24 stolen bases.Aloha Sports Cardshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00531410146951242431noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1769996856150225995.post-88463542255281183952010-08-27T17:40:00.000-07:002010-08-27T17:46:52.551-07:00Hawaiian Legends

Aloha,
No Hawaiian Baseball blog can begin without mentioning two baseball legends from Hawaii, Lenn Sakata and Mike Lum.

Sakata played second base mostly for the Baltimore Orioles including the World Champion Orioles in 1983 while Mike Lum played outfield mostly for the Atlanta Braves and is the all time home run leader among Hawaiians with 90 home runs.
